TAP provides the community with multiple programs throughout the school year, consisting of in-school assemblies and public performances. Each group or artist performs for over 4,000 K-12th grade students at eight schools in 3 different school districts. Teachers are given study guides to share with the students prior to and after school assemblies. Through these study guides and the actual performances, students will learn about various cultures, genres of performing arts and will have exposure to live performance. These performances help inspire children and instill the need for dedication and work ethic, crucial to a well-rounded individual.
TAP also sponsors a week long residencies with Missoula Children’s Theater twice a year. This gives children the opportunity to participate in a live theater performance, executed over the course of a week. These programs instill important core values such as commitment, determination, strong work ethic, teamwork, and a love of the arts.
